RE: Stamp 0 approval from US | 4 Relevance | 5 years ago | Rose | Ireland Move Club General Forum
@Liam I opened the Ulster bank account when I was working in Dublin back to 2007. I was holding stamp 1 at that time, and thus I could open a bank account. I am not sure if they have changed the policy now. Actually, INIS just reinstated my GNIB card, they even used my old stamp 1 photo on my stamp 0 card! When I renewed my PSC last year, the officer asked me why not reinstated my status in Ireland as I have everything such as PSC, Irish driver license, Ulster bank account etc. I was even a tax payer in the State. That's why I applied for stamp 0 from ...
A few tips for getting Stamp 0 / living in Ireland on "independent means" | 4 Relevance | 7 years ago | lindarosewood | Ireland Move Club General Forum
We picked up our GNIB cards last week, and are now living in Ireland with a "Stamp O" status for the next year. I am grateful to Liam and this site because we could not have done it without you. Here's a few final tips I wanted to pass on. 1) Don't submit a stamp 0 application before you arrive in Ireland. Enter Ireland on the usual 90 day visa, and THEN submit the huge packet of paperwork. 2) The "health certification" that they need must come from your doctor. I wasn't sure what it was that they expected, so I wrote something for my doctor to sign. I ...
Premission to Remain: Stamp vs. Card | 4 Relevance | 7 years ago | Brittney Allen | Ireland Move Club General Forum
... and stay together. I read somewhere, though I can't remember where, that after we have the marriage certificate, we take it to INIS and they stamp my passport with a stamp 4. But I was reading in another board that some people had to send off of a card to stamp. My question is, what is the difference between the stamp and the card, and is there a difference in the processing timeline?
Permission to Remain in Ireland as the spouse of an Irish National | 3 Relevance | 8 years ago | Kate Reagan | Ireland Move Club General Forum
Hello everyone, this is Kate's husband Joe and I wanted to discuss the Visa stamp 4. So my experience was completely different then @mairead and her husband. When I arrived in Ireland in May we told immigration that we were moving here and he simply stamped my passport with my entry date and no visa. He directed me to my local Garda station in Carlow and to report to the immigration officer there. We have visited with the local officer twice, and he has yet to stamp my passport or register me. I am not sure if there are different rules that apply for m ...

RE: Costs associated with Stamp 0 application | 3 Relevance | 3 years ago | JOHN HOGAN | Ireland Move Club General Forum
Liam - I thought I'd provide a copy of an email I received today about since it reflects the possible cost for assistance with preparing/confirming financial information for the stamp 0 application. I know Quintas has been mentioned in previous posts, but thought I'd provide their reply since it's current, especially the fees and contact information. I do have another request for service information and fees out to James O'Donovan of O’Donovan Lavin Accountants and will post any information that he provides. I hope the following is helpful. Thank you! ...

... this under the stamp 0 visa. I was informed that altho it is not mentioned anywhere on the immigration site, when receiving the stamp 0 acceptance letter it spells out that you can not leave Ireland for more than 10 days in the 12 month period. I was hoping to travel to EU and UK during my time there and also a two week trip for Medical appointments. If I have the stamp 0, I will be pretty much stuck in Ireland for the year, this is not acceptable and would like to clarify this limitation if it is true.
RE: Stamp 0 Renewal | 3 Relevance | 4 years ago | Lori Neiger | Ireland Move Club General Forum
... This is NOT true. You need to be on the ground in Ireland to apply. (Canadians - something different) The legal documents clearly state that you need to be in the country. And since you need to register in person within a strict number of days upon approval - not possible if you are outside the country. BUT - you should prepare all your documents/application PRIOR to coming to Ireland. Some items will be difficult to get once in Ireland. (you are running against the 90day visa limit) I prepared everything prior such that as soon as I landed I was able t ...

May I ask, what is meant by "a condition of residing in the State on stamp 0 conditions is that you reside continuously in the State"? Is this referring to the number of days a stamp 0 holder must spend in Ireland each year?

stamp 0 is more likely a visitor visa which allow you to stay more than 90 days, and you have to tell them your expected leaving date on the application. It is one of the criterias for stamp 0, which I learnt in March when I followed up with them. stamp 0 duration is based on your expected arrival date and leaving date. |
