My family and I are interested in moving to Ireland from the states. My great-grandparents were both born in Ireland on my maternal side - I have seen where if your grandparents were born there, you can reside in Ireland. Does anyone know if a case can be made if your great-grandparents were born in Ireland?

Thanks Liam, that is what I had read and unfortunately, that is not the case for me. My parent of Irish descent did not register before I was born 🙁
Do you know if it is possible to stay an extended amount of time, 1-2 years if not employed by Irish company, and not an Irish citizen?
Unfortunately for people in your situation, the answer is almost certainly no. There are working holiday visas, but are typically for people in their early 20's.
