I no longer live in Cork, Zelimir. Housing all over Ireland has been a hot topic in recent years. Availability of rentals and houses to buy has been low, and of course prices have risen too. Have you been in touch with any letting agencies and/or real estate agents? It might be good to start getting in touch with those types of people early to give yourself the best chance at finding something that suits your needs.
@manilala it's usually month deposit + first month up front. In some cases I've also seen the additional last month added on. Hefty price tag to move in!
Hi, I am recently retired but will be relocating to work in Shannon as a consultant hopefully around June this year. My wife will accompany me for the proposed 6 month contract. We think we would like to live in Ennis. We have lived in the country for 20+ years and would like to live in the city now close to transportation, amenities and social life. Limerick seems a bit too big for us. I will be working at the Shannon airport so the commute does not seem too bad.
Can anyone recommend a realtor in Ennis that could help us find housing for 6 months. We have tried Daft.ie several times but only get a standard response.

I don't know if I should sell up and go cold turkey back there or live in the two counties for a time. I'm single no kids so its only myself I have to worry about. All my family are in Cork.

Hello, my name is Laura, I have just moved to Ireland. My husband is Irish and we have my registration appointment next week. We are having great difficulty, getting evidence of joint address, I cant even open a bank account without my Irish Resident permit. We will be living together in his house which he owns, but cant get in any utility bills without being registered first, Can someone give us any pointers as to how to get evidence of joint address. Irish, born in Dublin but moved to the U.K. in 96 with parents, currently looking into moving back to Ireland with my partner and our daughter. Just wanting any tips or advice as I was only a child when we left so had no PPS number or and real record of myself living there bar birth cert and maybe some medical records. Would be inially living with family while we get settled and was also wondering if this would hinder the process as obviously won’t have our own address etc. Partner is an EU citizen and daughter has Irish citizenship and passport through myself so no issues with residency or work that I can see, basically wanting to know if we can sort things before we move over (if we do) or if we would need to be resident in the country first? Any information, advice or resources to look up are greatly appreciated.

I am interested in moving to Ireland in the next 12 months. I am having extreme difficulty finding the best way to do this. I have several skills but cannot find a good way to find a job. I am trained by the US military to be a dental lab technician but cannot find a good source to look for jobs.
I am also having difficulty finding the best way to get any visas or permits to make the move, all the informational websites are very confusing.
