If you're a cycling enthusiast, check out cycleIreland.ie. They have tons of great info, and what could be a better way of exploring your new surroundings than getting out on your bike.

You can download their app for a few euro, or if you just want to get some ideas, then their website seems to have plenty of info for free.

Example loops

The Old Head of Kinsale, Cork

Gap of Dunloe, Kerry

Phoenix Park, Dublin

The Cycle Planner App (Google Play link) from the National Transport Authority is a sophisticated route planner for cycle trips in the Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick & Waterford metropolitan areas.
