Last week I took a call from a gentleman from the US, moving to Ireland in the new year with his German wife. As a non-EEA citizen, he can apply to live in Ireland based on the fact that he has an EU citizen wife.
It was a very interesting conversation, one in which I think I learned as much from him as he did from me.

We covered so many different things related to his move, including:

  • Kids and school
  • Moving cats to Ireland
  • Rental options and requirements
  • Currency transfer
  • Obtaining a mortgage
  • Residence Card Form EUTR1
  • Health insurance in Ireland
  • Car insurance options

This was a call I personally really enjoyed taking. As I mentioned elsewhere on the website, I took a long break from my consultation call service, but now that I'm back at it, I am thoroughly enjoying helping each and every one of my clients.

Read on to see some of the specifics that we talked through, and the resources that I provided to assist in my client's upcoming move.

Thank you for stopping by the Ireland Move Club today. I hope you have found answers to many of your questions in the numerous blog posts and forum pages that you can freely access throughout the site.

As you may already know, I have been helping clients over the phone, in person, and on the forum, for a number of years. I decided recently that it would be a good idea to provide a summary of those discussions as a new feature on the site.
Many of the questions I answer over the phone with my readers, will be of benefit to a wider audience, so I decided to start publishing a series of 'call notes' for you all.
You will need to register and sign in to read this series of posts in their entirety.

You can register here, or if you already have, then please sign in below.

By registering, you also have access to post your questions and comments in the forum, which for more than 5 years now has been an extremely valuable resource to others who are moving to Ireland.
Looking forward to hearing from you and about your move...

More to come...
