Pet Moving Checklist – to Ireland from low risk non-EEA countries
When I started this blog a few years ago, I probably could have anticipated that my pet moving articles (and forum pages) would have been near the most popular of items on the site. Moving your pet overseas can be stressful, and expensive, and I think we've done a pretty good job here of helping you understand what you can expect during this somewhat difficult process. However, one helpful piece of information has been missing until now - a pet moving checklist.
Given that most people who are moving to Ireland from non-EEA countries, are coming from places that are categorized as low risk by the Irish Dept. of Agriculture, I decided to make those countries the focus of this e-book.
Among the low risk countries are: Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, UAE and USA. There are quite a few others too, and this may change over time, but for now the list is set.
The checklist is a guide to get you started with your preparations, and help you as you work your way through the pet moving process. If you avail of the services of a good pet mover, they should be able to provide you with even further information.
The checklist includes the following information.
Pet Moving Checklist - To Ireland from low risk non-EEA countries
- Documentation and regulation
- Pet moving companies
- Savings to be made
- Airline requirements
- Travel comfort
- Pick up in Ireland
- Return trip
You can download a printable PDF copy on the download page (where I make all downloads available).

Something new I'm trying here....I'm going to sign off by telling you about some of the music I was listening to while writing these blog posts. I usually write many of them while listening (jamming 🙂 ) to some of my favorite music, and sometimes some new music.
Tonight it was something new, and if you're like me I think you'll love it! I just discovered Alpha Blondy (Ivory Coast reggae musician) and I just love his version of 'Wish you were here' (link to youtube). Enjoy!
Thanks for reading!
