I've received this question from both movers and visitors, so I figured I'd post the question to the forum, and see if we can get any sort of reliable answers.

Using an example: An American visits Ireland for the full allotment of time allowed when entering the country (currently 90 days). They know they need to leave when those 90 days are up, but want to come back soon after. How long do they need to be out of Ireland before they can re-enter on a new 90-day stay? Can they just cross the border to Northern Ireland, or sail over to England for a few days and then come back?
