RE: Lawn Mower/Garden hose?

I hadn't looked at Garden hoses before, but it looks like the ones I could find for sale online were different enough that it probably isn't worth bringing. Most US outdoor faucets are 5/8" thread. It looks like both 12.5mm (1/2") and 19mm (3/4") are used in Ireland. Close enough to look the same. Then most places seem to sell the hose and fitting not connected to each other, then you connect the fitting you need to match your taps/faucets and other items you are connecting.

I am not bringing much furniture as my new home is virtually furnished. However, will my Garden hose attach to a tap in Ireland? Or should I not bother. Are the hose attachments the same or can I get an adapter? My lawn mower is quite good and I shall need one. Better to bring or sell?

Is the lawn mower gas or electric? If gas, you may run into restrictions on moving it unless thoroughly prepared. If electric, are you coming from the UK or somewhere else? If somewhere else, if corded, probably not. If it uses a rechargeable battery, you should see if the manufacturer makes a charger suitable for connecting to power in Ireland.

... actually buy a house in 2022 (waiting for tax free distribution from I pension). I am feeling like BBQ grills, smokers, sofas, Garden furniture and gazebos... can all be purchased here is ISS for less and shipped, but in the end I feel I should just sell I all here and buy stuff there in another year. Are the prices that much more expensive on that type of stuff to WArrant shipping everything we have?

Hi all, My family and I are moving back to Ireland imminently. Last minute planning here! could some advise of the following: - will my US grill be ok to use in Ireland? i think i heard people say that propane tank fittings are different in ireland and thus makes no sense to bring a US one back to ireland? has anyone any experience or is there any type of adaptor device to transition to Ireland? - is there any value in bring back any type of small US electrical equipment? i know computers can be changed/dual use 110v-240v so things like that might be ok...but what about just very small kitchen electrics that might be useful (small oven / coffee machine etc etc?) - i am not talking about fridges etc etc. - Garden tools powered by battery...saws/edge clippers/shrub clippers type thing...anyone any experience of bringing those things to ireland and being able to charge them whilst there? thanks for any advice anyone can offer.. Kieran
