Hi all,
Before we leave South Africa we will get our international drivers licences from the AA (im sure they still do that)
Does anyone know if it can be exchanged for an Irish licence or does one have to go through the whole test again?
If someone is licenced to drive a truck in South Africa will that licence be valid in Ireland too?
Thanks 🙂
Kim
South Africa is on the list of eligible countries for a license exchange. However I have never heard someone exchanging a truck category license. The good news though is that I can't find anywhere on the website that says it is excluded, so hopefully it should be fine. Here's the info you need https://www.ndls.ie/holders-of-foreign-licences.html
Let us know how it turns out please.Â
