Don't feel too sorry for our parents' generation when it came to entertaining the kids. If my sisters or I ever said we were bored, they would find chores for us to do, usually boring repetitive tasks like cleaning the refrigerator or the garage, or sorting boxes and boxes of archived family photos. But then again, I grew up in Oklahoma and we didn't have much rain at all throughout the year.

@kateincalifornia I feel your pain Kate 🙂 Myself and my brothers would spend hours dusting. Ornaments, baseboards, mirrors etc. Hardly a weekend passed without it 'needing' to be done. Hmm...should I continue the tradition....
