Hi everybody
I've just added a forum to the site (March 24). I'm finding that people are posting some very useful comments/questions in their Activity Feeds (or emailing directly to me), and these are getting lost in the weeds quite quickly as time passes. I think a forum is a far better platform to allow you to get involved on the site. You'll find the link to the forum under the 'Community' menu item above.
I have restricted use of the forum to members-only, purely because I want it to be used in a positive way to help people who are serious about moving to Ireland, or who have moved here already. I don't have the time to moderate a full blown public forum, so I think/hope by restricting it, I won't have any issues with spam/trolling/etc. Membership remains open to anyone with an interest in the site.
I will post some general guidelines to follow soon, but for now:
- Feel free to create topics (from this link) related to moving to Ireland that interest you
- Be respectful of others in the forum
- Refrain from use of 'colourful' language
- Relevant links to sites are welcome, but please no blatant advertising of third parties
- Enjoy!
Brilliant Idea. This site had been a great help to me so far. A forum's a great idea.
