Thanks for the advice on bringing more stuff home with me- it has been on my mind! I have now engaged a financial planner over here to see how I can be optimally Set up when I get to Ireland. I will plan to work there too before I retire as I am still too young to retire. Sounds like you had been in CA for over two decades, same here. Hello, I am Liz and I am interested in learning more about remote working in Ireland. I have a particular skill Set that allows me to consult and do Skilled contract work. Interestingly, the fields/roles that I work in are also referenced 4 times in the “skilled workers” list. Has anyone on the forum moved to Ireland under similar circumstances? My Wife and I will be moving to Ireland from Denver. The bedroom furniture in question WAs built here in Colorado,where the Humidity is around 10-15%. Is this furniture with its many Drawers even worth bringing to The Humid climate of Ireland? Hi all! I'll be arriving in Ireland next Tuesday(11/2) as a Stamp 0 "approvee". I can't WAit! I fly into Dublin via Aer Lingus and I'll be bringing my dog (blk lab). Due to the airline's pet travel requirements, I'm using an extra large dog kennel. It's huge (48"L x 32"W x 35"H) and is intended for dogs who weigh 90-120lbs. Mine is 55lbs. Hi Patty! I recommend using a pet relocation service to bring your dogs back and forth. It is very expensive, but I would hate to make mistakes along the WAy because I missed something. I live in California and am using a a pet relocation service based out of Colorado (a referral from a friend). I'm relocating two cats and it is about $4,000 total for me to move them.
