Hello All,
Hope you are all enjoying the antics of the Irish at the Uefa cup! Has anyone with a U.S Green Card moved back to Ireland and kept it? Is this allowed? I am thinking of keeping my Green card status and would love to hear from those who are in the same position, or if they had to give it up and why?
Hi everyone first time on this forum, id like to ask some questions on buying a House in ireland, i live in the uk, and my House is up for sale as we WAnt to live in ireland permanently, i have been looking in many areas of ireland and they are all very nice and extremly clean, my problem is all this bidding on Houses, i have had my eye on one property in particular, but found on one estate agents its up for sale for 100000 euros, the same House on another estate agents its on sale for 790000, both asking for bids, i dont get this, why cant it just have o ...
I found the following on one of the US government webpages:
A Green Card is valid for readmission to the United States after a trip abroad if you do not leave for longer than 1 year. If your trip will last longer than 1 year, a reentry permit is needed.
... furniture in storage, a House here that WAs having some legal points sorted out and a few other complications. so to finish the purchase over here I sorted a second mortgage on the UK House and fortunately we had a large touring caravan which we effectively lived in whilst the House finally sold and Chris could stop working which WAs paying a double mortgage UK side. All irrelevant except as a demonstration of a lesson learned.
My Advice. Do not commit to anything over here until your House UK side is sold or if you have funds and consider Renting your U ...
Do yall think it's a bad idea to provide a copy of your credit report? I imagine since it's your American credit folks can't get access to it from there, but it does show all your accounts/previous accounts and all the little Green checkmarks all in a row showing "paid on time"... That looks pretty good!
... even being a citizen - it is all residency. My son is in high school, and we are thinking of moving back so that he has residency for college purposes. You need to be legally resident for 3 of the past 5 years in Ireland. (Or Europe)
Even getting married for residency is tricky - they may WAnt you to show that you have the financial resources to not be dependent on the state -- this goes for US or Ireland. When we applied for my husband's Green card, they WAnted my last 3 years tax returns and required that it WAs something like 150% of the poverty line? I ...
A lot more details on this page:
Hi!I will be in the same situation (although I may be renting out our US House). I'd suggest getting a record of payments and a payoff statement from your mortgage company and presenting that as evidence of reliability along with some personal references they can contact like past employers, your lawyer, something like that.I've also been a landlord here in the states and have been on the other end of this. Being able to show that you have a serious amount of cash available to you helps a lot. You can offer them a copy of account statements with accounts numbers redacted as proof of ability to pay.Good luck!
Hi we are a couple from Northern Ireland and WAnting to buy a House in South of Ireland so that we can open our own cattery business down the line. Does anyone know if any uk lenders borrow for buying property down south? As we be moving then and having to source new jobs after mortgage til we get cattery up and running
Hello everyone, I’m planning to relocate to a new House in a few months. Now, I need help with the entire process seeing the numerous and heavy furniture pieces that must be transported from Ireland to the UK. Since it’s my first time to deal with this process, I’m thinking of hiring a moving specialist. My neighbour recommended one of the removal companies Ireland to UK that he knows. Do you think it’s a good idea to seek their services?
