My wife and I are moving to the West Side of Ireland. We will be buying a home but will be renting somewhere until we do. I'm really looking for anyone's experience of finding the their Apartment/house and how to deal with landlords. Specifically I would like to know how people initially pay for a deposit, ie Cash/Bank transfer etc. I'm in the process of setting up a KBC Basic Current account for direct debits, standing orders etc but I can't find any solid information on how deposits/up front rent is normally paid. When I WAs in the US I had T-Mobile with the plan where I can touch down pretty much in any major country around the world and text US numbers for free (i.e. part of my regular bill, doesn't cost me extra) and use unlimited 3G internet. Hi Patty! I recommend using a pet relocation service to bring your dogs back and forth. It is very expensive, but I would hate to make mistakes along the WAy because I missed something.
