Slight issue regarding stamp 4 | 6 Relevance | 4 years ago | Kelvin C | Ireland Move Club General Forum
... to be stamped with a stamp 4 granted all documents are ok (we have them all ready to go). I contacted the local immigration officer earlier today (and I have shared emails with him before), and he has said that since she will arrive in the country on a tourist basis initially, he will not be able to stamp her with a stamp 4. Instead we will need clearance by sending details to the 'spouse of an irish national unit', but I'm afraid of how long that will take. Alternatively, he suggested leaving and re-entering the Country after marrying, we would be stampe ...

Hope someone with recent experience can give you help with a lot of your questions. I looked at stamp 0 beginning 4-5 years ago and learned a few things that you should take into consideration. 1) The rules state that income requirements are net. But there is no definition of net in the rules. 2) Yes, your financials have to be completed by an Irish accountant. Maybe one can answer your question of net vs. gross income. 3) The rules state that you have to be present in Ireland when you apply for a stamp 0. But I am not sure if this is a hard and fast rule ...

Like Kate said @Carrie if you are accompanied by your husband the immigration officers won't give you a problem just make your intentions known that you moving here. It makes it easier if your stamp in your passport says joining spouse at the Airport. I think the procedure is the same. In my case my wife is a dual citizen she is irish/british. At the Airport we used her irish passport and my South Africa passport told the immigration officers we moving here and my passport was stamped with 90 days and on the stamp it said joining spouse. We read too much onl ...
RE: Stamp 0 person of independent means questions | 4 Relevance | 3 years ago | Lori Neiger | Ireland Move Club General Forum
Hi John, I thought this was an interesting question, and looked at my files. I looked at my initial approval letter, all it says is to sign the document, and send it in with the passport via registered post. I applied for my stamp 0 from inside Ireland. As soon as I arrived in Ireland in 2019, I posted all my documents. Coming from the US you are permitted to stay in Ireland up to 90 days. I received the approval within that timeframe. Once you send in your passport - it is stamped with a one year date - thus if they send your passport back in Sept ...
Stamp 0 Questions | 4 Relevance | 3 years ago | Kate_Senna | Ireland Move Club General Forum
... wanting to make the move to Ireland for many years now and have exhausted so many different options. We have 2 children and are currently in Canada. My husband and I both work from home and can basically live anywhere. We are thinking now a stamp 0 may be the easiest way and allow us to go on a temporary basis to make sure we love it. Here are my questions: -When applying for a stamp 0, can the process be done here and well in advance? Like say if we set our desired move date as February 2021? That way if we are denied we can fix the issues they have wi ...

... a bunch of content that is mostly on the website. I then - encouraged by her reply and having a name - sent her an email with several Qs about the stamp 0. Like Laura and others I've found the requirements listed on the website to be quite vague and was seeking to get additional clarity so my wife and I can submit the best possible application. I have not gotten a response back for over 6 weeks. Questions about the stamp 0 Application Process My wife and I are both 50% Irish (she is actually also applying for citizenship via ancestry but since her bir ...

Betsy Pierson here. My husband and I arrived in Ireland from the US the end of August with plans to apply for stamp O visa and most of the required paperwork in hand. Got in touch with Jim O'Donavan of O'Donovan Lavin Accountants in Limerick as someone who had successfully obtained a stamp 0 had recommended him. He not only audited ourincome and assets andprepared a comprehen-sive financial positionreport for our initialStamp 0 year, but draft-ed a cover letter for our application and succinctly spelled out everything else we wouldneed to include in the app ...

Lori, I cannot give you guidance on stamp 0 renewals although I would suggest you follow the E3 visa negotiations that are on-going with the US. In exchange for access to thousands of US visas for the Irish, it is reported that Ireland will loosen the rules for stamp 0 and perhaps other categories so more Americans can live or work in Ireland. I think we will learn more in the coming months. While we wait, would you mind telling us how your initial stamp 0 process went? I am curious about the following: 1. How long did it take from beginning to end? 2. ... |
