Thanks for replying Liam. The notice about the suspension is kind of hard to find. I’ll attach it here. As far as I can see, this affects ministers of religion, and volunteer workers. We used to be able to get a three year stamp. They did this suspension literally a week before we arrived. Hi All, My husband who is a US citizen will be moving to Ireland in the next couple of months to live with me (irish citizen) . In Order for him to register, get a stamp 4 and GNIB card it says that we must have proof of place of residence. Hi Melissa, With regard to #2, be sure to have them give you the longest timestamp possible when coming in as a tourist. I know of cases where they'll ask how long you plan to stay and stamp it for exactly that amount of time. If the person before you is staying 2 weeks, you don't WAnt that stamped on your passport. You'll need plenty of time after you do marry to get everything in Order to send for residency status. I hope someone else can chime in on your other questions.
