... allows us to live here for 5 years. The Maltese immigration system is very straightforward. Anyone who WAnts to exercise their EU movement rights should consider here. English is also an official language here which makes it easy to settle into. If anyone has any questions about Malta seperately you can pm me.
However, the advice I am looking for Now is moving to Ireland. I WAnt to move back home and we will apply for permission to remain under EU treaty rights due to the fact that I can be considered an EU citizen who instead of an Irish citizen (thank ...
hi all! My husband and child and I, just moved to Ireland about a week and a half ago. My husband is a minister from the U.S.,has been asked to come work here by a church, and we have been planning to move to Ireland for a long time Now, have made extensive preparations, given up our lives and moved over. When we tried to register at immigration earlier this week, they told us, “sorry, we can't register you. “ the stamp that has been given to ministers of religion for many years, and what we were hoping to get, just on January 1st, has been suspended until March 31st, when it tentatively might reopen with new rules. They even told us that we will have to go back to the states and work it out with the Irish consulate there. Well, as you can imagine, we are pretty stressed and disappointed, and Now our whole life is just in limbo. We are also wondering, if we don’t get this worked out pretty quickly, are we allowed to leave the country and re-enter with a tourist visa, over and over again, or will they put a limit on that? If anybody has any insight or information about what the new rules for ministers of religion will be, I would love to hear it.
My Irish fiancé and I have been together (long distance with multiple visits) for 3 years Now. We are Now planning to get married but we really WAnt to do it in the state of Colorado in the US during one of his visits.
Please forgive my ignorance but can we marry in the US while he is visiting and then go back to Ireland together and then go through everything we need to do there? Or is there something we need to do first in Ireland before we can do that? Are we allowed to marry in the US per Irish law? Pretty sure American law states it’s ok as long as th ...
... years. We've gone between the USA and Ireland for ages, and we're completely ready to be done with it. We're just starting the whole marriage/Stamp 4 process. Thanks to this site, I have a pretty good idea of how most of it works. (Thank you!)
Though, my only question Now would be whether or not I can marry while on a WHA or if I'll need to exit Ireland and return on a regular 90 day stay. (Though, I've read that it can take longer than 90 days considering the interview is scheduled 3 months in advance in person, plus the added second interview. So, it sou ...
Hello! My name is Kevin. My family (wife, 13 yr old son) and I are planning our emigration from the States to Ireland...I'm sure to have plenty of questions to post as our departure date draws near (right Now it looks like early summer), but for Now I'm busy 'shopping' for a shipper. We will have one full 20' container (FCL) to ship (and probably a follow-up container of less timely items once we're settled) from Long Beach to Dublin.
I'm surprised to hear of the wide disparity in prices that we are quoted, and worried that some shippers are merely trying to get out business with an attractive quote.
My only questions at this point for The IMC :
1) Has anyone heard of / dealt with either Schumacher Cargo (based in Long Beach) or Inter Movers (based in New Jersey)?
2) Is there any shipping company that any IMC members would recommend? A shipper that stands head and shoulders above the rest for price and service?
Any insights are appreciated. Thanks.
... It's my second time coming over on a WHA. I have an Irish boyfriend (now fiancé) of nearly five years. We've gone between the USA and Ireland for ages, and we're completely ready to be done with it. We're just starting the whole marriage/Stamp 4 process. Thanks to this site, I have a pretty good idea of how most of it works. (Thank you!)

... notice. I'm Canadian and he's Irish- he lives in ROI and I'm currently on a UK visa living in N.I (expiring in a couple weeks).
1. As I am not currently living in ROI, it appears we need to request to give our notice via post. This is fine, however I'm Now concerned about these interviews as I had read somewhere (presumably on the official citizens information site- I should probably have that memorised by Now!) that if notice is given by post, because one of the parties is not living in Ireland the 3 months prior to the marriage, that the couple must att ...
... is my question.....
My fiancé is Tanzanian, I am Irish. We met and lived over there for a couple of years and Now I have come home. We are getting married in July and having another wedding bash here in August. He's been here twice before and we always apply for a short term visiting friends and family visa which he gets. We need to apply for his visa Now again and as he's not my spouse yet we will have to apply for that short term one again. We WAnt to live in Ireland and I have recently taken up employment here. When we come in August, we'll be arriving ...

... I assume we won’t be issued an MRF straight away, if so there would be no point in having the meeting as this MRF would expire within the 6 months. So will they issue it to us at a later date closer to our marriage date or should I postpone this meeting? - This is tricky. I don't actually know the concrete answer to this. Here's my situation: We have the "notice" in person on July 4. We had this "interview" on Monday that made sure we were "legitimate" on Sept 12. We have to WAit two weeks to get "approved," and then we pick a date. She just said if we did ...
