RE: Stamp 0 person of independent means questions | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | Kevin Callaghan | Ireland Move Club General Forum
Laura. Hi. I have spent a lot of time looking at the stamp 0 issue and agree that much is vague, perhaps deliberately so as I think INIS prefers to look at stamp 0 applications on a case-by-case basis. Please note that emails sent to INIS Unit 2 have reportedly taken 2-3 months to receive a response. In addition to the income requirement of €50,000 per person, please know that there is also a net worth requirement of approx. €150,000. Also, if you apply for a stamp 0 and wish to use your US company income to support the €50,000 requirement, please know ...

Hi all: I'm hoping for some help clarifying the requirements of the stamp 0 Visa, as the information I've found on INIS is fairly vague, and this forum has the the most detailed information stamp 0 that I've found so far! Background: I am a US Citizen, working full-time remotely for a US-based company. I’m interested in moving to Ireland for a year or two, mostly for tourism and sightseeing. I plan to continue working for this US-based company, so I’ll have a consistent revenue stream each month (my income is over the 50,000 euro annual minimum listed). ...

... allows us to live here for 5 years. The Maltese immigration system is very straightforward. Anyone who wants to exercise their EU movement rights should consider here. English is also an official language here which makes it easy to settle into. If anyone has any questions about Malta seperately you can pm me. However, the advice I am looking for now is moving to Ireland. I want to move back home and we will apply for permission to remain under EU treaty rights due to the fact that I can be considered an EU citizen who instead of an Irish citizen (thank ...

... to go through all these government pages on stamp 4's--while you are waiting for your stamp 4, are you allowed to leave the country? I was planning to start the stamp 4 process in June, but I'm the maid of honor for my sisters wedding in October. So, that would be a disaster. Thank you for all the kindness and help here. It's been a massive help on this journey. Once I finish the marriage process, I'll share my experience. (Same for the stamp 4 process.) -Taylor

Hey! Thank you so much! That was very useful. I didn't realize it before--but you're right. My GNIB card does state that I'm on a stamp one. (I never knew that.) And I'm happy to say we're proceeding with the marriage process. (and hopefully the stamp 4 process after.) We've scheduled a marriage interview. So, after going through the process of scheduling an interview--I'd like to amend what I said in my first paragraph. I was under the impression that when you make a marriage appointment, you have to wait 3 months for the appointment. But, I see now you ha ...

Kelsey - great question, thanks for asking it. And thanks too Mairead and David for adding your thoughts. Mairead - I'm looking forward to hearing how your experience goes. I was under the impression that the stamp 4 application was a somewhat lengthy process (multi weeks/months) as opposed to a trip to the Garda station with the relevant evidence to support the application. Kelsey - the INIS website specifically says you cannot work until you have received proper immigration status. "An applicant has no entitlement to enter employment during the applicati ...

Hi everyone, I have a covid vaccine related question for those here on stamp 0 person of independent means visa. As one of the criteria for this visa is that you can not access any state medical benefits and must have private insurance, how does it work with the vaccine ? Can you avail of it for free through the GP or do you have to pay privately for it (and what does it cost)? My mum (here on stamp 0) got both her initial two doses before she moved over to Ireland but she's soon due her booster. Don't want to mistakenly access a state benefit and jeopard ...

... investment differences between IE and US, and worked well with my US investment manager (CFP). His financial presentation met the requirements for the stamp 0 application, and my solicitor found everything in order, compatible with overall application. At the end of the day, my stamp 0 application was submitted on 9 Sep, with written acceptance dated 8 Oct. I think that is good turnaround time, especially with so many offices shut down due to covid restrictions. I wish you great success with your application. It is important to have family together.
