Hello all, My wife & I went to meet the immigration office at our local Garda station today. The person we met said my wife would be issued with a stamp 4, but only in 2-3 weeks when the ID card is Ready. We were really hoping to have the passport stamped today as she has a job offer pending the stamp. Is there any WAy to hurry along the issue of the ID card? Or could we call the immigration officer and see if the passport could be stamped sooner rather than later? Many thanks,

Hi - I'm planning to move from New York to Dublin in January and have a few questions: - will I need to have paperwork with my shipment that show proof of residency and/or employment? (I will be flying there when my shipment leaves so will have apartment Ready by the time the vessel arrives and then I can advise of the address to deliver to; and my job may not be finalised by then either - will that be ok as I'm British and can legally move to Ireland without these things, or will it be an issue for my belongings coming from the US?) - any recommendations for relocation companies from people who've taken this NYC to Dublin route? Hi, I currently live in the US with my two US born children aged 17 and 15. For the past two years I have been thinking about moving back as we have no family here. But every year when I feel we are Ready to move I get so afraid to just make that leap. I am wondering from people that have moved back how they made that leap? How they made the leap and how they knew it WAs the right thing for them?

Hey Kelsey So I am currently engaged to an Irish citizen and I am American. We move back and forth a lot just so that we can be together. When we stay in America we have an apartment and while being in Ireland I have stayed with his family. I read all the questions you were asked and would be able to answer and he would as well. But we are trying to figure out more on this. Where do I go to apply for this? And how many times did you guys travel back and forth to see eachother? Just trying to figure out what they might be looking for? Im just tired of spending so much on airline tickets and marriage has already been discussed and we are Ready to get to it. We are younger as he is only 22 and I am 20 so I hope that age would not be a HUGE bad factor in this. What do you think? I know there is the 6 month clause that you must already be living in Ireland and Kate said to go ahead and mail it in even though it may get rejected because of the 6 month rule. But I'm assuming you did this so you could go ahead and get your "receipt letter"from them so he could get his temp Stamp 4. Did this work? I definitely agree with your last comment @dorzak With partial containers your goods are more likely to go missing or get damaged, and also they will get passed around quite a bit along the WAy. A FCL is more likely to make it in one piece. 2 hours to load/unload doesn't sound like much. Although if everything WAs boxed up, Ready to go, and you had help, it might work. The 1/4 container wood crate sounds kinda pricey! @dxl we would welcome hearing your input if you find out any well recommended companies. Are there review sites that specialize in that so ...
