@moveclubadmin Thanks for that. I WAs thinking of sending it anonymously but they'll probably ask for me details before providing any Information.
You're right, it's a legitimate concern and I can't believe there's no Info on their website!

2020: general public can't get basic Information about business opening hours and basic government procedures on the internet...
Hey Joey
Yeah, I wouldn't WAnt to be sitting around in a small room with a few others for possible a few hours either. Have you tried calling up the Garda branch office where you would attend? No surprise with the non-existent website Info 🙂
Hello everyone,
Just wondering if anyone can give me any Info on how the current pandemic might affect the visa renewal process? (not in the Dublin area in this case so it's the guards in charge.)
It seems a bit risky WAlking into a garda station, WAiting around with other applicants sitting nearby etc. Have they changed anything? (e.g., booking an appointment in advance so there's only one person at a time or even moved some of the process online?)
I've looked on all the official websites and there's no update whatsoever from previous years. Strangely.

Second, a question for the group (or anyone who may be in the "know") - Does anyone know if there is a timeline/deadline when you receive your first approval letter from the INIS (after submitting appropriate paperwork, etc.) to submit the initial approval letter and your passport back to INIS?
I'm hoping to submit my Stamp 0 request in early July (after review/approval of financial records) but I'm not planning on actually arriving into Ireland until late Oct. I suspect the INIS review of my request may take longer than "pre-Covid" but wond ...
... a Stamp 4 for my continued residency/permission to work. However, my current job in the US has suggested that it might be possible for me to continue working remotely for them for a little longer after I leave the states. It would not be long-term, but just for another month or so to wrap up my projects, and before I would be able to seek new employment in Ireland, which is my long-term plan. Would this be possible without an employment permit in Ireland (before I get my Stamp 4, since I won't be able to get it immediately when I arrive in Ireland), for jus ...
Hello! We are a family of four (two adults, two small kids) considering applying for stamp 0 to do a year in Ireland. The Information online says that you need to prove income of 50,000 EUR per person. Can this be, for each child also? So as a family of four would we need to show an income of 200,000 EUR per year??
Other countries with a similar "independent means" visa seem to have a different rule, like a certain amount you must have plus an smaller amount on top per additional family member. For example, in Spain, it's a requirement of about 25,000 EUR plus an additional 6,500 EUR per additional family member.
So... is it actually 50,000 EUR per family member for Ireland? I tried emailing Unit 2 about this but they basically just copied and pasted the same Info from their website.
... to WAit. Officially, I believe it's a number of months. Practically, and in most cases it seems, it's almost immediate. I'm wondering are outside Dublin applicants getting the better deal here????
Of course, if it's not immediate, you know you won't be able to take up employment. There are other implications too, e.g. needed private medical insurance etc.
I'm sure it must be extremely difficult right now. Covid has played havoc on so many parts of our lives. Immigration is definitely hard hit.
Looking forward to hearing more as your move takes shape ...
... living in Dublin. We have been together for four years, visiting each other back and forth every few months. I think our longest stay together WAs about three months, when he lived with me in Chicago over a summer. We got engaged about a year ago, but our moving plans have been all over the place because of COVID-19. Now, I'm planning to move to Ireland, and we are ready to begin that process ASAP. We've done a lot of research over the past year, but it's so hard to figure things out for sure from the Info online, and it would be so great to hear personal e ...

... can always post the Info on this site in case others may be interested.
Just curious, where in the US did you move from and what drew you to Co Kerry to reside in?
One final question, the INIS website recommends providing proof of income for 6 months, so did you follow that guideline? I'm a little unsure about timing and selling my house, etc. So, if I retire in March 2021, then I should WAit until Sept 2021 to show 6 months of my income during retirement (know that it must equate to matching the annual 50,000 euro min requirement). Am I understanding t ...
